Roots are the parts of plants that absorb and store nutrients, but they also symbolize the origin. My dead father made me rethink the definition of life, and gave me the starting point of a new creation that was motivated to incorporate "myself" into the work.

Roots symbolize the overlap between my father's life and mine. As time elapses, the circle of "roots" of different sizes has changed in high or low. The roots no longer cling to the ground. The flesh of skin and red blood flows through the root system and finally spreads out.

根是植物重要的運輸和營養吸收的器官，總是藏於泥土中而被忽視，但它卻是左右植物生命最重要的角色，對我來說根就如同我的家人，彼此之間依存也相互牽絆，如同生長在土裡的根系彼此交纏，成為一種無法切斷的共同體，所以我把根交纏的意象視覺化，運用電繡將無光紗線繡在水溶襯上，水溶襯經泡水溶解，過程中溶解的時間會影響到根的姿態，在《記憶引流》作品裡聳立地上的白色根系象徵著我與家人最初的本源，膚色是肉體，白色是意識，彼此相疊成為獨立的生命個體，交錯在根系上紅色的紗線則是是血脈，串接了家人之間的關係彼此糾結交錯，如同一個有機的生命體在狹小的空間中逐漸的向上蔓延。
